Throwback Thursday: Troll (1986)

For this week's Throwback Thursday, I picked a movie from January 17th, 1986. For anyone who doesn't know, the 17th should be a national holiday because two very amazing women were born on that day: the phenomenal Betty White, and my beloved great-grandmother, who just turned 95!

Anywho! Back to business. This movie starts off with a bang, introducing us to its namesake within just a few minutes. It has one hell of a cast: Michael Moriarty as Harry Potter (I giggled), Noah Hathaway as Harry Jr. (and Atreyu from The Neverending Story), and eclectic neighbors in the apartment building, Sonny Bono and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

I got exactly what I expected from a movie made in 1986 with the name Troll.😂 The troll looked a lot like Hoggle from Labyrinth, adding a dose of nostalgia for me. The evil Hoggle possesses little Wendy Potter unbeknownst to her family, turning her into the kind of terror that makes anyone second guess reproducing!

An evil plot, magical creatures, a witty, beautiful, good witch, and a Michael Moriarty dance scene that should be a gif somewhere, all make for a fun, cheesy 80s watch!
