This week we are going back to 2011, when a horror film called 'Husk' was released. It stars Tammin Sursok, Devon Graye, Wes Chatham, C.J Thomason and Ben Easter.
This one was a first time watch for me. It's about a group of teens that get lost in a cornfield and are then terrorised by a Scarecrow. Sounds a bit silly doesn't it, but there is honestly something quite frightening about cornfields! I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think they make a great setting for a horror film!
This had the potential to be quite good as they nailed a couple of the more unsettling moments, and that Scarecrow was actually pretty scary looking! The make up and effects were great, it was the story that felt more of a let down. It just didn't keep me interested quite enough with the back story on what happened there. However, I might be thinking about that Scarecrow standing in the cornfield later tonight! Eek!
