This week back in 1999, we were bought a sequel to a classic horror, Carrie. 23 years after the original events took place, we got Carrie 2: The Rage.
This film starred alot of recognisable faces, but some of our main stars were Emily Begl, Rachel Blanchard, Jason London and Dylan Bruno. We also got the return of a character from the original movie, Amy Irving.
When I first watched this, I honestly expected it to be trash, but it was actually pretty good. I liked how they tied it in with the first film, even after all these years. The acting was good and I liked the characters, but hated the ones we were meant to dislike. It was very 90s and alot of it felt reletable as I was in school around this time.
The story follows a similar path to the original, and the ending at the big party is actually such a good scene! There are some great kills. The only thing I didn't like was there were some scenes where the movie randomly changed to black and white. Other than that, it was a surprisingly good film and is worth a watch.
