Some Chris Pine to Carry You Through!

This week back in 2009, we were bought a movie called Carriers. The 2000s seemed to see a rise in zombie and infection movies, and this is a lesser known one that you don't hear about much. This one was actually filmed a couple of years earlier, but they waited until Chris Pine was more well known and released this after Star Trek, which he also starred in.

We follow a group of friends (Chris Pine, Piper Perabo, Emily VanCamp, and Lou Taylor Pucci) travelling to the beach, and trying to stay alive in a post-apocolyptic country that has been affected by a deadly 'world ending' virus. Christopher Meloni and a little Keirnan Shipka also appear in this film as survivors they come across on their journey.

As in all these films, we come across others fighting to survive and have to deal with them, as well as the infected and turmoil within the group. The acting is good, and though it's not a scary horror, it's more the whole idea that is horrifying. The infected looked good when you do see them.

With a short run time of only 85 minutes, it's certainly one that's worth a watch if you like these kind of movies.
