Resurrection of a Beloved Franchise?

A funko pop Michael Myers, splattered with blood and holding a knife, is positioned over the DVD case for Halloween Resurrection (2002)

This week back in 2002, yet another movie was added to the Halloween franchise. Growing up I was mostly watching this, 1978 and H20 as a teen, so this was my timeline. I never watched any of the other films until last year! So my review of this is a little biased as there is a nostalgia factor with this one.

I know it's not a good film, but it is fun. Especially watching it back in the day and seeing famous people like Tyra Banks and Busta Rhymes in it, and of course the return of Jamie Lee Curtis. Even though she was just in the opening scene, that was one of the best parts, and a brave decision!

I do like the concept of the 'big brother' type show they were doing, but it looks so dated now due to how far technology has come along. There were some great kills and it felt very typical of the slashers of this time. Watching it now, I can see all of its faults (and there are a lot!), but it will always have a special place with me, especially Busta and his cheesy lines!
