I sank my teeth into POEMS OF GRAVE IMPORTANCE, and this collection is so delightfully dark. Ridley Mortis acquired the most ADORABLE drawings for the poems from over a DOZEN artists, and I spent my entire time chuckling and nodding in approval as I read through.
A lot of these poems are relevant AF with what's happening in the US right now, and it was quite cathartic to read about the kind of people meeting ironic misfortunes (because we all know that is the best kind of karma). Monstrous people, adorable monsters, twists on stories you've heard, and our favorite time of year are all tucked in between these covers. If you want a quick read that'll check off the horror, humor, and sci-fi boxes, as well as getting an eye full of art from talented people, this is 100% the way to go!
