This week back in 1999, one of the best (in my opinion) creature features was released in the US...Lake Placid! I can't believe this was 25 years ago!
This film has a great cast with the amazing Bill Pullman, Brendan Gleeson, Bridget Fonda, Oliver Platt and Betty White to name a few. They all play great parts. I like the friendships that form throughout, but especially the relationship arc between Jack and Kelly (Bill and Bridget),as you spend the whole time wanting them to just get it on! Betty White is hilarious as the not so innocent little old lady 🤣
I love a good creature feature, especially a croc or shark movie! Although the CGI parts have not held up so well, the 30ft animatronic Crocodile still looks really good!
This film is a great mix of comedy and horror, with great one liners and gore effects when needed too! An absolute must watch for horror fans!
