Last week back in 1987, we were bought the third installment in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Dream Warriors. We see the return of Robert Englund as nightmare killer Freddy Kruger, and Heather Langenkamp as Nancy. It also stars Patricia Arquette, Laurence Fishburne and Craig Wasson.
This film takes place one year after Nightmare 2. Kristen, played by Arquette, dreams of Freddy and ends up being sent to a psychiatric hospital, where we meet other patients, and see Nancy return as an intern therapist. We find out that these patients are the last of the Elm Street kids.
This installment is one of my favourites. I really like the storyline, but the best thing is definitely the creative kills! The puppet and tv kills being some of the best!
For me personally, this was also one of the last decent films in the franchise where Freddy is more scary and less comedic. I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone to go watch this, as no doubt you are already fans.
