This week back in 1988 we were bought a horror action movie called Maniac Cop. This was a first time watch for me, and it definitely felt more action than horror.
I really liked the opening title sequence where we see a figure dressing in a police uniform and loading their gun along to some ominous music. I also got excited when Bruce Campbells name popped up! It also starred another horror favourite Tom Atkins.
This film jumped straight into the action with a huge man dressed in a police uniform killing innocent victims on the streets of New York. Once the police realise it is a cop they are looking for, the manhunt begins!
It was a good, enjoyable watch, but not one I'd recommend as a horror movie for horror fans.
