This week back in 2004, M.Night Shyamalan bought us his fourth movie, a horror mystery called The Village. I remember being very excited for this one as I had loved his previous movies.
The acting was very good in this Thanks to a great cast including the return of Joaquin Phoenix, who is joined by Bryce Dallas Howard, Adrian Brody and Sigourney Weaver.
Although this film is not a scary one, it is full of tense moments and certainly keeps you guessing. And in true M.Night fashion, there's a brilliant twist!
For me this isn't one of his best films, but I do really enjoy it. Unfortunately, just like the others, they are really impactful on that first watch, but never quite the same on rewatches because you know what's going on. Still absolutely worth watching though!
