Brains on the Menu in Louisiana!

"Southern Fried Brains" by Jonathan Tripp

State: Louisiana

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Southern Fried Brains” contains two stories. I loved and devoured both.

Jonathan Tripp did a fantastic job in putting together this 2-part novella collection with action-packed stories that revolve around a central theme - weed. The novella's two stories are intertwined with one voracious character.

In "Southern Fried Brains", the first story, Tripp uses the munchies to create gory chaos. One of the side effects of weed is the munchies. Harmless right?! Think again! There is an insatiable hunger that affects animals and humans, especially the Gator. As the townspeople are trying to solve this, bodies are turning up everywhere. Tripp created a gory story with several tense scenes.

In the second story, “Southern Fried Gator", the gator returns for more mayhem. There is lots of action and gore. One of the best things about this story is that it takes place while an officer is running an errand for his wife. Of course, the errand takes a back seat to the chaos. Tripp creates a sense of confusion and panic among the characters. Southern Fried Gator” ends on a tense cliffhanger leaving the reader craving another hit. 😉😉
