BETA-READING

Beta-reading is a great way to get feedback on your project in the early or stages, or even before you commit to line-editing work. Below are our list of available beta-readers.

Dianna Gunn

I offer detailed feedback on worldbuilding, character development, and pacing that you won’t get from the average beta reader – and I offer it in a timely manner.

I required that all writers interested in working with me to submit a 50-page sample for editing (unless you’ve already worked with me, in which case we can go directly to the full beta read).

Rates

  • Required sample beta read:
    $15 for 50 page sample

  • Beta Reading
    $0.005 per word

Turnaround

The exact time frame will vary based on the length of your story and my schedule at the time of booking, but you can typically expect to receive a beta read on a 100,000 word novel in one month.

Cat Voleur

Cat offers beta-reading services with a quick turnaround time. This comes with an annotated copy of the work and a follow-up summary.

In your email, please include the length of the story, the genre/subgenre, and any applicable content warnings. Please note also if there is a required timeframe for the project.

Cat Voleur, author of Revenge Arc, co-founder of The Sinister Scoop

Rates

  • $10 flash fiction (1,500 words or under)

  • $25 short story (10k words or under)

  • $10 for every additional 10k

  • +$20 for a rush request

Turnaround

I try to have all beta-reading projects completed within 1 week of request acceptance, but this varies depending on length and my availability. If you need it in a certain timeframe, please make that apparent in your request so we can discuss accordingly. I may charge a rush fee if I have to bump you up on my priority list to finish in time.
